RTÉ Documentary on One is Ireland’s multi-award-winning anthology radio documentary series.
Broadcasting on RTÉ Radio 1 since the 1940s, Doc on One tells fascinating tales from real life, fully immersing the listener in sound, story and character. The series’ extensive archive is one of the largest of any radio documentary series in the world, with more than 1,800 individual episodes available to listen to online.
Commencing Saturday 19th August our 2023 season features among others, the story of legendary Manchester band “The Smiths“ tour of Ireland in 1984, told by Irish fans who were there at the time. On Saturday 26th documentary-maker, Mary-Elaine Tynan speaks to Irish polyamorists in “What If She’s Prettier Than Me?“.
