7.7 MILLION STREAMS ACROSS THE TOURNAMENT ON RTÉ PLAYER
UEFA Euro 2024 came to a nail-biting close yesterday with Spain and England battling it out for the win. 918,000 watched on RTÉ2 plus an additional 426,000 streams on RTÉ Player as England’s hopes were dashed, with Spain triumphing 2-1 thanks to Mikel Oyarzabal's late winner. It was England’s second successive appearance in the UEFA Euro final, narrowly losing out to the unbeatable Spanish team.
UEFA Euro 2024 has been a huge hit with audiences, with total streams on RTÉ Player tripled versus UEFA Euro 2020 (7.7M v 2.5M). 59% of streams came from mobiles.
RTÉ Player streams to date are currently sitting at 74 million (+42% YOY), with the 2024 Paris Olympics still to come!
