The National Ploughing Championships, or ‘The Ploughing’, returned to Ratheniska, Co Laois, last week, and RTÉ was there over three full days with an action-packed schedule of live programmes, live musical performances, live RTÉ News and Weather bulletins, and chances to meet with well-known presenters. For some of the highlights from Day One, see below.

 WATCH: Day one of the ploughing started with Morning Ireland. The day continued with The Louise Duffy Show, and The Ray D'Arcy Show, live weather bulletins, and finished with the Six-One News, live from Ratheniska.

From Dancing with the Stars to Ireland's Fittest Family, interactive RTÉ content pulled in large crowds across the three days.
