RTÉ Player Exclusive launches in partnership with Aer Lingus

Last night, RTÉ premiered a new RTÉ Player original series, Jen’s Weekend: London.

In this brand new online series, which was produced in partnership with Aer Lingus, Jennifer Zamparelli is on a whistle-stop tour of London for the ultimate weekend, and she brings some company along with her too. In episode one, ‘The Hills’ star Stephanie Pratt joins Jen for a food tour of London including afternoon tea on a bus, a restaurant dedicated to the humble crisp, and the insta-famous restaurant Bob Bob Ricard that is home to the  #pressforchampagne button.

With six episodes, available on Mondays at 8 pm on RTÉ Player from 15th October, Jen will join more famous friends as she explores different aspects of London life, including dating, culture and more. Watch the first episode of the series here: http://bit.ly/JensWeekend.

“The Story Lab and the RTÉ Player team created content that not only showcased London as a destination to our target audience, but that also placed Aer Lingus as an integral part of the story,” said Sinead O’Connor, Head of The Story Lab Ireland. “It’s short-form broadcast quality content created for a digital platform featuring the many talents of Jennifer Zamparelli doing what she does best. Between Dentsu (Carat & The Story Lab), Aer Lingus and RTÉ we had a hugely committed team who had the bravery to create a different solution, and we’re excited about the opportunities of doing more of this work going forward.”

Brian Geraghty, Commercial Solutions Manager at RTÉ, stated: “The appetite for short-form bite-size content is insatiable right now, particularly among younger audiences. Together with Aer Lingus and The Story Lab, we built a partnership on RTÉ Player, RTÉ.ie and RTÉ 2FM that will reach a key client base for Aer Lingus in a fresh new way, while entertaining and engaging RTÉ's audiences. RTÉ, Aer Lingus and The Story Lab were willing to try something new, and Jen's Weekend: London is the end result….. An RTÉ Player Original series we're all very proud of.”
