Bumper weekend of free-to-air Sport across RTÉ 

Champions Cup Rugby, Women's Six Nations, Camogie League Finals, GAA Championship live

 

A bumper weekend is in store for all sport fans as RTÉ is airing a jam-packed schedule of live, free-to-air sport this coming weekend.

Leinster’s bid to for a fifth Investec Champions Cup title kicks-off a huge weekend of live sport across RTÉ on Friday night (RTÉ2, RTÉ Player, RTÉ Radio 1) as they face Glasgow Warriors in the quarter-final at the Aviva Stadium. Jacqui Hurley presents live TV coverage alongside Bernard Jackman, Donal Lenihan, Fiona Coghlan and Jamie Heaslip with full live commentary also on RTÉ Radio 1.

The Championship presented by Damian Lawlor on Friday night at 10.00pm on RTÉ Radio 1 will feature news, previews and exclusive interviews to set you up for following all the weekend's GAA action across RTÉ Radio, Television and Online.

The live Rugby action continues on Saturday as Ireland take on England in Cork in the Guinness Women’s Six Nations, Daire O’Brien will be joined by Bernard Jackman, Hannah Tyrrell and Lindsay Peat for all the action live on RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player from Virgin Media Park while Michael Corcoran will have full live commentary on RTÉ Radio 1’s Saturday Sport.

Gaelic Games take a front seat on Sunday with a triple bill of live games on The Sunday Game Live on RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player. First up the Camogie Division 1A and 2A Finals live from Semple Stadium Thurles when Damian Lawlor is joined by Anna Geary and Anne Marie Hayes for Offaly v Derry in the Division 2A Final followed by Cork v Galway in the Division 1A decider.

Then it’s off to Omagh when Joanne Cantwell will have Paul Flynn and Sean Cavanagh alongside for the meeting of Tyrone and Cavan in the Ulster Senior Football Championship quarter-final (Throw-in 4.15pm). Jacqui Hurley will be joined on Sunday evening (9.30pm, RTÉ2 & RTÉ Player) by Ciaran Whelan and Enda McGinley for a look back at the weekend’s action on The Sunday Game.

RTÉ Radio 1 will have live commentary, updates and reports on all the Championship action on Sunday Sport and there will be full round-ups of the highlights and main talking points on the weekend television news bulletins at 6.1 and 9.

RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta will have live commentary, reporting, post-match interviews and analysis on its weekend sports shows Spórt an tSathairnSpórt an Tráthnóna on Saturday and Spórt an Lae on Sunday.  The live radio coverage of the championship will feature many well-known analysts in both football and hurling.
