The Kids Are Alright
The hit U.S. sitcom, The Kids Are Alright, starts Friday 21st June on RTÉ One.
The Kids Are Alright is an American sitcom television series created by Tim Doyle, inspired by Doyle's own childhood.
Set in the 1970s, this single-camera ensemble comedy follows a traditional Irish-Catholic family, the Clearys, as it navigates big and small changes during one of America's most turbulent decades.
In a working-class neighbourhood outside Los Angeles, Mike (Michael Cudlitz, Southland) and Peggy (Mary McCormack, The West Wing) raise eight boisterous boys who live out their days with little supervision in their three bedroom, one bathroom home.
Nominated this year for a Writers Guild of America Award for Best Episodic Comedy the series has been described as "a surprisingly poignant, thoughtful show with a classic sitcom feel."
